Charitable Products

Charitable Products provide profits to the organisation involved with, for example, a postcard published on their behalf by Dinnages Transport Publishing. There are other items listed in this catagory that have been produced or published by others, although where we list these here, some of the proceeds, depending on whats for sale, also goes to that project from your purchase. Check the specific product listing notes for further details.
Charitable Products from Dinnages

The Dinnages charitable postcards are produced in such a way that the recepient can either have provided a bundle of cards at the time of publishing at no cost, with more at a better rate than trade as and when required, alternatively, a cash sum donated, often via Gift Aid, to the charitable body concerned. This is the choice of the intended recipient and is privilaged information to the benificiary.

Any transport preservation project, ongoing, just started or a completed restoration can be assisted. The subject can be buses, railway, or anything transport related, providing it was originally built in the UK. We would need a photograph that we can use by means of its copyright agreement, or we may be able to use one from our own library. Depending on its source, may affect the rates provided on publication. The major benefit over and above the initial freeby, is that the recient does not have to initiate the process of publishing, printing, financial outlay, or risk of stacks of redundant cards from a big print run possibly required to keep the costs managable. The added bonus is that the publisher & a few other selected outlets provide further publicity for the intended project. All our postcards are designed for the current modern 6"x4" (150x100mm) form of postcards, with either a colour or vintage B&W view.

Images from our photographic library have been used to create sets of fridge magnets for preservation societies, now using a high street printing method rather than the home inject printing, giving a much longer life to the images.

Ceramic mugs have been created before, and can be produced using line-art drawings, which along with the postcards using the same image, sometime during 2009 is a topic we may well revive for our customers.

Code 3 diecast models have always been a service, those being two for Sussex Transport Interest Group, one for the East Sussex Morris Minor Club, and a variety of single or short run specials based on close matching mass produced code 1 models. This theme continues with a new code 3 model due possibly during 2009, with the planned start of a few code 1 official releases in the longer term.
