CPT01:12CC City of Portsmouth Preserved Transport Depot

The City of Portsmouth Preserved Transport Depot was housed at Broad Street in Old Portsmouth until 2003, now relocated at Wicor farm in Porchester. During the latter years at Broad Street a variety of fund raising items & themed events were used to encourage more visitors to fund the possible purchase of that building or another as eviction was becoming more apparent with the pressures of housing.

This Line-Art modern postcard was published as one of those charitable fund raisers, giving all proceeds when sold on the open days each second Sunday each month, & continues with a few special events in Hampshire and at Wicor. This card depicts a 1935 Leyland Titan TD4, and a 1903 British Electric Tram, both which formed part of the collection at Broad Street depot until the move in following closure in March 2003.

We have sold over 100 videos also in support of CPPTD funds in which we donated £250 to the group where this paid for 50% of the new seating costs to one of the buses. The video will be re-released with new images and footage at some future point in order to raise more funds as they intend to buy the freehold at Wicor. Donations and benefactors would be very much appreciated to reach thier eventual goal.
