SMS02:004 729 The Regency Route

Our second Line-Art postcard, & fourth card in the series, depicts a pair of Bristol VRT Eastern Coach Works bodied buses working the branded 729 Regency Route between Brighton and Tunbridge Wells both Regency towns, operated by both Southdown Motor Services and Maidstone & District. This route continues today in its revived 'Regency Route' branding by just Brighton & Hove Bus and Coach Company, as the service 29.

Our card has been produced as the commemorative for 20 years 1977 to 1997 when this card was originally published, with a line map between the bus drawings, when three operators ran the route jointly & were Stagecoach, Arriva and Brighton & Hove.

Durin 2007 'The Regency Route' was revived by Brighton & Hove Bus and Coach Company being by then the sole operator on the route with a new fleet of vehciles marked the 30th anniversary of the link between Regency Brighton & Regency Tunbridge Wells. Genuine Retail Trade enquiries are welcome.
